Personal Testimony
I grew up in a Catholic family. My parents were very religious, attending mass as often as they could. As a good Catholic my brothers and I were confirmed and also became altar boys. As I got older this involvement was simply ritual.
Early in my high school years, both my parents realized their desperate need for Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Their zeal to grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures brought them into conflict with church officials. At this point they left the Catholic Church and attended a small, independent body of believers called Bible Baptist Church.
It was here that I first heard and learned what the Gospel of Jesus Christ really was and the conviction of knowing I was a sinner destined for hell. However, the draw of the world was stronger than my fear of hell.
